As per the reports of The Washington Post, PotCoin, the marijuana cryptocurrency may sponsor Dennis Rodman’s trip to the US-North Korea Summit.
The former NBA star’s agent, Chris Volo, has confirmed his interest in the Singapore trip, saying he would provide “moral support” to President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un.
His trip to North Korea, back in 2017 was also sponsored by the Canada based cryptocurrency. During his trip, he was photographed sporting a PotCoin t-shirt, and a baseball hat, sending the cryptocurrency up by a whopping 90 percent from the previous day.volo has told The Washington Post the Rodman “deserves the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with President Trump and the Marshal Kim Jong Un,” adding, “The PotCoin team as a community has been incredibly supportive of Rodman’s peace mission from the beginning. We’re thrilled to see how the political climate has improved between North Koreans and the US since he became involved.”
A State Department spokesman has shown doubts in Rodman’s presence at the summit, adding that he is not a part of the official US delegation and saying that “We have no comment on Dennis Rodman’s private travel. He’s not a representative of the US government.” Criticism has flown in for his previous visits to North Korea. In 2014, he along with some other former NBA players arranged basketball game with North Koreans, singing Kim Jong Un, “Happy Birthday.”
Though Rodman has managed to maintain a warm relationship with Kim, reportedly a fan of the ‘90s era Chicago Bulls, but it is still not clear whether Rodman whether would participate in the Summit or not.
Several celebrities have come up and joined hands with various cryptocurrency projects. Actor Steven Seagal was a brand ambassador for Bitcoiin2Gen. Boxing star Floyd Mayweather posted on Instagram boasting about the “$hit t$n of money” he would make on an ICO by Stox.
