ELon Musk Tweets His Support For Bitcoin Friendly Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang

Elon Musk has always been vocal about his support of digital currencies and the Tesla Inc. CEO recently announced his support for Bitcoin-friendly Andrew Yang’s run for U.S. president in 2020. This took place when on 10th August, in a podcast episode of Hard Core History, American political commentator and podcaster, Dan Carlin, commented on Yang’s leadership qualities. As a response to those comments, Musk tweeted his support for Yang.

Yang is a candidate from the Democratic party and a strong proponent of a universal basic income. He accepts campaign donations in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and any other crypto asset complying with the ERC20 standard, as well as Venmo payments.

Indeed, to finance Yang’s campaign, super PAC (political action committee) Humanity Forward Fund has collaborated with Opennode to raise funds from individuals and corporations.
Opennode is a fast, secure payment platform, which facilitates payments in Bitcoin. Most notably, Humanity Forward Fund, through the Opennode platform, is accepting campaign donations exclusively in Bitcoins for 21 days, from July 25, 2019, to August 14, 2019.

The Humanity Forward Fund proclaims to be:
– Pro Bitcoin
– Pro Innovation
– Pro Financial Sovereignty

Yang has already qualified for debate No. 3, which is scheduled on the 12th of September this year. He must still debate eight other democratic candidates: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, Beto O’Rourke, Cory Booker, and Amy Klobuchar.

As was recently reported, Musk and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos have plans to launch thousands of satellites into space. The aim of this project, according to Bezos, will be to provide Internet access to millions of people.

It is well known that Elon Musk thinks, “Bitcoin structure is brilliant.” So, this endorsement of Yang’s candidacy by a visionary such as Musk will most likely help to increase Bitcoin’s rate of adoption.
